Descent-based methods (quasi-Newton, stochastic, and accelerated variants); regularization, relaxation, and alternation in optimization; convex feasibility and best approximation; non-negative/bounded-variable least squares and matrix factorization; convex optimization (duality, subgradients, interior point methods, linear, quadratic, and conic programming)
