Adam Brown - Graduate Research Assistant
BackgroundIn 2013 I received my B.S. in mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park. I am currently a fifth year PhD student in the mathematics department at the University of Utah. My mathematical background is in representation theory, abstract algebra, topology, and analysis.
Current ResponsibilitiesWhile finishing my thesis on the representation theory of complex Lie algebras, I am working Dr. Bei Wang on applying insight from the mathematical theories of topology and geometry to problems in data science. I look forward to finding new ways for mathematical theory to contribute to difficult problems in data science and visualization.
