Text data significantly impacts various analytical tasks across multiple domains such as business intelligence, social media monitoring, and digital humanities. In my presentation, I will outline my research on developing interactive visual analytics systems designed for large-scale text and social media data. These systems combine data visualization techniques with automated data-analysis algorithms to enhance decision-making processes in text analysis. Additionally, I will introduce my current research in the field of immersive analytics.
Bio: Dr. Isaac Cho serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Utah State University and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He directs the VizUS Lab, which focuses on data visualization and Mixed Reality research at Utah State University. His research interests include interactive visualization and analytics, immersive analytics, and mixed reality. He has received funding from agencies such as the NSF, DHS, DOE, and EPRI.
