Background

I received a degree in Visual Arts with multimedia specialization from SLCC in 2000. I was immediately attracted to the SCI Institute due to my love of science and I could see that there was a lot of great science going on there. It was clear at the time, however, that they needed some help with their website so I contacted them and offered my services. Luckily, my email came at the right time and I was soon hired, first to help develop a site for the Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute (CVRTI) and then as a full time web developer at the SCI Institute.

Current Responsibilities

As Webmaster for the SCI Institute, I work closely with our resident artist Nathan Galli to develop and maintain numerous websites. In addition to developing and managing their official website, we also develop sites for a number of centers and sub-projects the Institute is involved with such as the:

• NIH/NCRR Center for Integrative Biomedical Computing.
• The Visualization and Analytics Center for Enabling Technologies (VACET)
• The Utah Center for Neuroimage Analysis (UCNIA)
• Scalable Analysis Group Expertise (SAGE)
• The DOE NETL Unconventional and Renewable Energy Research Utilizing Advanced Computer Simulations
• Open Wildland Fire Modeling E community
• Computational Engineering and Science Program
