Designed especially for neurobiologists, FluoRender is an interactive tool for multi-channel fluorescence microscopy data visualization and analysis.
Deep brain stimulation
BrainStimulator is a set of networks that are used in SCIRun to perform simulations of brain stimulation such as transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and magnetic transcranial stimulation (TMS).
Developing software tools for science has always been a central vision of the SCI Institute.

supervisor Dr. Ben Ellis

Background

I attended Brigham Young University from 2016 – 2023, graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering. During that time, I was able to participate in three internships designing large mechanical systems, as well as help on three different research projects that involved topics such as compliant mechanisms, back pain diagnostics, and lumbar fusion.

Current Responsibilities

I currently help Dr. Ben Ellis develop and analyze FE models of the cervical spine to determine differences in forces and pressure when vertebrae are fused.

Research Interests

  • Biomechanics
  • Computational modeling
  • Bio-inspired design
