Setting up the Meade LX90 with equatorial mount
- Set up the tripod so that it is level.
- Put the telescope in horizontal position and so that it is pointing north.
- Plug in the computer and hold the mode button for a few seconds to switch to the telescope position control. Raise the telescope to the compliment to your latitude (49o 23') and center it on Polaris.
- Turn off the computer, turn it on again, and do the standard set up. Choose one star alignment.
