SENSORS
The sensors used are silicon sensors which vary according to whether
photometric, radiometric or ultraviolet measurements are to be made. Special
filters correct the sensor response curve, correcting it also according to
the cosine law; the sensor-filter unit is all one piece, individually set
and calibrated. The sensor used for measuring temperature is a Pt100
platinum sensor.
Besides measuring quantum-photo-radiometric units, the instrument can
measure temperature in both ?C and ?F with the TP870 series of probes; the
sensor used is a Pt100 (100 ohm at 0?C).
Characteristics of the instrument when measuring temperature:
Measuring range: -200?C...+800?C (-392?F ...+1472?F) in two scales with
automatic change of scale.
Resolution: -200?C...+200?C = 0.1?C above that = 1?C
Precision with TP870 probe included: -50?C...+200?C (-58?F ...+392?F):
?0.15% ?0.4?C ?1 digit.
>From -200?C to -50?C and from +200?C to 800?C: ?0.3%
?1?C ?1 digit
At temperatures higher than 400?C, avoid violent blows or thermal shock to
the TP870 temperature probes as they may cause irreparable damage to the
sensor.
Weight of the instrument and of the kit: 280g, 1600 g.
Dimensions of the instrument and of the kit: 215x73x38 mm, 450x300x105 mm.
