both.jpg - 4000x4000 Two isosurfaces from the visible female displayed with the real-time ray tracer. feet-withshadows.jpg - 800x800 Closeup of the feet with shadows. global4.jpg - 512x512 Isosurface of bones of the visible female using an interactive approximation to true global illumination. Above taken from http://www.cs.utah.edu/~sparker/images.html --------------------------------------------------------------------------- speed-on-temp-0128*.jpg - 4000x4000 Isosurface of a temperature field colormapped with the velocity magnitude of the fire propagation. The two fields were generated by CSAFE at the University of Utah, and are represented by 303^3 floating point numbers each. Red is low, blue is high. NOTE: With the ray tracer we are able to see the time progression of the data, as we can load in as many time steps as we have memory for. We can also change the isosurface being rendered on the fly as the surface is directly evaluated from the volume as the ray is traced. llnl*.jpg - 512x512 These are volume rendered images of a temperature field of fire simulation. The data is 252^3 floats. We can interactivly change the transfer function while we cycle through every timestep. This allows us to see the volume rendering of time changing data. vol*.jpg - 640x480 This is the temperature data (the same as from speed-on-temp*.jpg), but with volume rendering.
