supervisor Dr. Benjamin Ellis

Background

I am a 3rd year undergraduate currently pursuing my degree in Biomedical Engineering. I have aspirations of attending medical school and becoming a plastic surgeon, specializing in transgender medicine.

Current Responsibilities

I am currently an intern in the Musculoskeletal Research Laboratories under Dr. Benjamin Ellis. I am assisting with processing of data collected from cervical spine models using PreView and FeBioStudio.

Research Interests

I am currently working in both MRL as well as a neuropsychiatric research laboratory at the University Institute of Neuropsychiatry. I enjoy both the clinical and the bioengineering aspects of both labs, although I hope to work more heavily in clinic after medical school. I am particularly interested in transgender healthcare, including but not limited to gender-confirming surgery, hormone replacement therapy, etc.
