Background

I am going into my third year studying Computer Science with an emphasis in Entertainment Arts and Engineering and a minor in Entrepreneurship. I am originally from Boise, Idaho and moved to Salt Lake City for the prestigious computing program at the U. After graduation, I would like to pursue a position in software engineering or game design.

Current Responsibilities

Under the guidance of John Melchi, I will collect research regarding new computing technologies that aim to better the lives of certain individuals. I will do independent research, interview various people involved with the technology, and write articles for SCI. These articles will be multimedia and hopefully eventually lead to related podcasts.

Research Interests

I am interested in the effect that technology has played in societal development. In the past, I have completed independent research on technological determinism and digital natives. I plan to translate this passion to research regarding new computing technologies that will revolutionize certain disciplines. The first of these being a video game in development at the U that helps older adults with depression.
