Background
Currently, I work as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Robotic and Control Laboratory (RCL) at the University of British Columbia, working under the supervision of Prof. Purang Abolmaesumi and Prof. Parvin Mousavi, researching robust machine learning methods for healthcare data analysis. I graduated with my PhD from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Shohreh Kasaei, researching semantic segmentation of RGB-Depth images. During my PhD, I worked at Sokhanai.ir as a researcher and developer in the fields of speech recognition and image processing. I finished my MSc and BSc in software engineering at Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Shadrokh Samavi in collaboration with Prof. Shahram Shirani at MCMaster University, Canada, developing 3D computer vision algorithms for height estimation in camera sensor networks.
Current Responsibilities
I am engaged in a brief research visit at the University of Utah, collaborating closely with PhD students and postdoctoral researchers under the supervision of Prof. Tolga Tasdizen at SCI. Concurrently, I am also collaborating remotely with the RCL team at the University of British Columbia. Our focus is on prostate cancer detection in ultrasound as well as pathology images.
