Background

I grew up near Albuquerque, New Mexico. I graduated from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology with a Bachelor's in Computer Science, after which I worked for two years at Los Alamos National Laboratory. During my time in Los Alamos, I decided to pursue my interest in realtime graphics, so I came to Utah and graduated under the fantastic mentorship of Dr. Cem Yuksel. During my time at the Utah Graphics Lab, I worked on research in geometry processing and a new 3D modeling paradigm.

Current Responsibilities

I am working full-time as a software developer on the OpenSpace project. My focus is improving and adding rendering features and functionality.

Research Interests

  • Realtime rendering
  • Procedural content generation (especially techniques like cellular automata, structured noise, tiling)
  • Physics-based animation
  • Geometry processing
  • Game engine design
