BME 516 - Biomedical Engineering Seminar Series
The Biomedical Engineering Seminar Series meets every Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm. BME 516 students are encouraged to participate in this seminar series. Although not all talks will deal with topics in biomechanics, the Series will increase your exposure to biomedical engineering in general. Participation is not required as part of the course, but extra credit will be given to students who attend a seminar and provide a one-paragraph summary of the talk. The extra credit points will count towards the homework portion of the grade. If you attend a seminar, please see me before or after the seminar so that I can make a note that you attended.
Note - extra credit will not alter the distribution of grades for the course. Extra credit points will be taken into consideration after course grade calculations have been made. In other words, extra credit points can help you, but they won't hurt anyone else.
The seminar is offered as BME 696A, a one-unit class. I believe this class is open to all graduate students.
