Climbing

I fell in love with climbing shortly after moving to Utah. Climbing particularly appeals to me because the pursuit of new crags has carried me to beautiful destinations that I might not otherwise have visited. The problem solving and efficiency optimization aspects of climbing also provide a welcome challenge and break from work.

Skiing

When the crags are snowed under, I put away my gear for the season and switch over to skis. My husband, Rob, and I mostly frequent Snowbird, though we do get out to Millcreek and occasionally make the drive to Colorado for some backcountry skiing.

Backpacking & Hiking

Since moving here to Utah for graudate school, I have explored many of the trails and canyons in the area and am always excited to travel and explore new places. Utah has so much to offer-- immense and sheer red sandstone walls in Zion, gritty and adventuresome Canyons in Escalante, lakes, streams, and green(!) mountains in the Uintas, and beautiful and sometimes, wonderfully exposed trails in the Wasatch.

Gardening

Gardening is a new-found interest, and I can often be found puttering around my yard trying to make our yard as welcoming and yet still drought-proof as possible.
