Dafang Wang

I am a postdoctoral fellow working with Dr. Trayanova. I obtained the Ph.D degree in computer science at the University of Utah in 2012, advised by Dr. Christopher Johnson and Dr. Mike Kirby at Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute (SCI). Before that I received the B.S. degree in computer science from the Chu Kochen Honor College at Zhejiang University, China in 2005.

My current research centers on simulating cardiac electrical/mechanical activities, and developing intervention strategies for rhythmic and functional heart diseases such as myocardial infarction and heart failure. My PhD dissertation investigates inverse problems in electrocardiography, with focus on finite element methods and numerical optimization for systems governed by partial differential equations.

My broader research interests include scientific computing, bioelectromagnetic simulation (ECG/MCG, EEG/MEG), inverse problem, and optimization.

My Curriculum Vitae is available in the format of (PDF) or HTML.
