BackgroundI am entering my third year of graduate school working under Prof. Claudio Silva in the Visualization and Geometric Computing Group at the SCI Institute. My undergraduate work was done at Northeastern University in Boston, MA earning me B.S. degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. After graduating from Northeastern I moved to Sydney, Australia where I played on the New South Wales state LaCrosse Team and a team representing Australia in the South Pacific LaCrosse Tournament. Upon returning to the U.S. I worked closely with the SCI Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital in their Dept. of Radiation Oncology developing new visualization techniques to aid them in the diagnosis and treatment of various cancers. Current ResponsibilitiesCurrently, under Prof. Silva, I am working to develop a fast, Level-Of-Detail Point-Based Volume Renderer with Steve Callahan. I am also working with Gilbert A. Preston to develop an integrated, multi-modal visualization system for his research in studies based on memory, attention, and the genetic substrates of such effects. Research Interests
