Designed especially for neurobiologists, FluoRender is an interactive tool for multi-channel fluorescence microscopy data visualization and analysis.
Large scale visualization on the Powerwall.
BrainStimulator is a set of networks that are used in SCIRun to perform simulations of brain stimulation such as transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and magnetic transcranial stimulation (TMS).
Developing software tools for science has always been a central vision of the SCI Institute.

Background

I started the Bioengineering PhD program at the University of Utah in Fall 2014. I received a B.S. in Biomedical engineering from Purdue University and in Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati.

Current Responsibilities

I am currently developing a virtual deep brain stimulation surgery to predict the activation of specific fiber pathways dependent upon lead location and stimulation settings. This involves patient specific modeling and bioelectric field simulations.

Research Interests

  • Neuromodulation
  • Connectomics
